Doesn't matter.
I just watched the excellent video for Vampire Weekend's song, A-Punk, directed by Garth Jennings.
It's simple, and brilliant, and suits the song perfectly. Watch it again. It's worth it just to see the drummers running backward and forwards like that.
It got me thinking about my favourite music videos... sigh. You probably saw that one coming, didn't you? I know it's a flimsy premise for a blog, and one that's been done to death, but I don't care, really.
Here are my favourites, in no particular order:
(First one has a warning, both for mildly spooky Thom Yorke and some car violence.)
UNKLE and Thom Yorke - Rabbit in Your Headlights (Directed by Jonathon Glazer)
(Second one has a warning for mild logos.)
Justice - DVNO (Directed by So Me)
(Third has a warning for martial arts wankery.)
Muse - Knights of Cydonia (Directed by Joseph Khan)
(Warning: Men flipping out.)
At the Drive-in - One Armed Scissor (Directed by... At the Drive-in, I spose.)
No warnings required for the next two...
Battles - Atlas (Directed by someone who's clever)
Battles - Tonto (Directed by UVA - United Visual Artists.)
(Warning: Amazingly Cool.)
(Warning, Bikes!!!)
Bat for Lashes - What's a Girl to Do
Beck - Sexx Laws
Daft Punk - Robot Rock
Empire of the Sun - Walking on a Dream
MGMT - Time to Pretend
Arcade Fire - My Body is a Cage
Queens of the Stone Age - 3's & 7's
Radiohead - House of Cards
Bloc Party - Banquet
LAST ONE!
The Avalanches - Frontier Psychiatrist

You know, Hame, the video you have up for Time to Pretend is not the real video. The real one has a lot more Andrew in it.
This one is pretty tho!
